Privacy Policy

TaskXP is developed and operated by oddthree ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how TaskXP handles your data. The short version: your tasks and progress never leave your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit your personal task data.

Data Stored on Your Device

TaskXP stores the following data locally on your device only, using Android's SharedPreferences storage:

• Tasks — task titles, difficulty levels, due dates, and completion status.
• Player progress — your level, XP, streaks, and task completion history.
• Settings — your notification preferences and reminder time.
• Onboarding state — whether you have completed the initial setup.

This data is stored only on your device. It is not synced to any server, cloud service, or third party. Uninstalling the app deletes all of this data permanently.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, receive, or have access to:

• Your task names, notes, or to-do lists.
• Your XP, level, or streak data.
• Your name, email address, or any account information.
• Your device's precise location.
• Any data entered into the app.

There are no user accounts. There is no sign-up. There is no backend server that receives your data.

Local Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, TaskXP schedules a local notification on your device at your chosen time. This notification is generated entirely on-device. No notification data is sent to our servers or any third-party service. Your notification time preference is stored locally alongside your other settings.

Advertising — Google AdMob

TaskXP displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and other non-personal signals to serve relevant ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by:

• Going to your device Settings → Privacy → Ads and enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
• Or visiting Google Ad Settings.

Opting out will not remove ads from the app — it will make them less personalised.

Third-Party Services

TaskXP uses the following third-party SDKs:

• Google AdMob — for displaying in-app advertisements. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• flutter_local_notifications — for scheduling on-device reminders. No data leaves your device.

No analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, or user tracking libraries are included in this app.

Permissions

TaskXP may request the following Android permissions:

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to display daily reminder notifications (Android 13+).
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — to deliver reminders at your chosen time precisely.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — to restore scheduled reminders after your device restarts.

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data. All notification activity stays on your device.

Children's Privacy

TaskXP is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Data Retention and Deletion

All app data is stored locally on your device. You can delete it at any time by:

• Clearing the app's data via Settings → Apps → TaskXP → Clear Data.
• Or uninstalling the app, which removes all data permanently.

We do not hold any of your data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on our end.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of TaskXP after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
